Charlie Black, PhD
Charlie is an engaging storyteller who artfully distills insights gained from a purpose driven life. He has spent a lifetime asking questions that sit at the intersection of leadership, technology, complexity, and human judgment. He holds a PhD in Cultural Complexity and is a passionate lifelong learner and eternal optimist who values people over technology. He is an author, speaker and advisor. He co-founded and is a managing partner for Xundis Global a niche consultancy that partners with commercial, government and private clients to successfully confront incessant change. For nearly 26 years as a U.S. Marine served in every clime and place, from the deserts of the Arabian Peninsula, the frozen mountains of the Hindu Kush, to the sweltering jungles of central Africa and the Pacific rim. In the past decade he has also explored the non-profit and business sectors, supported government sponsored R&D, and contributed to academia. He travels globally and speaks frequently on human judgment in the age of AI and complexity, organizational resilience, and leadership as culture making.
